Nithya Ruff visits NAU to reflect on decades of Open Source leadership

We had the pleasure of hosting Nithya Ruff at Northern Arizona University.

Nithya delivered an outstanding talk as part of the Open Source course and AZ Tech Week, reflecting on the past, present, and future of open source software through the lens of her own career. It was a rare opportunity for students to connect the evolution of OSS with real-world leadership, decision-making, and impact.

Before the talk, she also took the time to engage with our students and learn more about the work we do at RESHAPE Lab — particularly around OSS governance, sustainability, AI, and education. Nithya's curiosity and generosity left a strong impression.
